Why is human skeleton made up of many bones joined together at the joints?
F1- The skeleton is rigid and cannot bend without being damaged
F2-At a JOINT, the bones are held together by tough sheet of ELASTIC FIBRES called LIGAMENT.
F3-Since ligaments are elastic, they allow bones to move against one another
F4- And prevent DISLOCATION of the joints during movement.
