Three neurones

Three types of neurones
Afferent neurone also known as Sensory neurone
Interneurone also known as relay neurone
Efferent neurone also known as Motor Neurone
WHAT ARE THEIR FUNCTIONS?

Neurones are specialised cells.

Compare the STRUCTURE of Afferent Neurone and Efferent Neurone.

Take note of the structures and its functions.

Thalamus versus Hipothalamus

Thalamus:
-Receives information from ALL the sensory receptors, and then TRANSMIT the information to the proper region of the CEREBRUM for further processing.

Hypothalamus:
-Located below the thalamus.
-CONTROL CENTRE for recognition and analysis of hunger, thirst, fatigue, anger and body temperature.
-It also controls the coordination of the NERVOUS SYSTEM and ENDOCRINE SYSTEM.

Muscles interaction

Observe the interaction..
Mark the TENDON and LIGAMENT.
State the function of tendon and ligament.
Take note of the antagonistic muscles..

The Brain

Observe , draw and label the structure of the BRAIN.
Important labels include:
CEREBRUM
CEREBELUM
THALAMUS
HYPOTHALAMUS
MEDULA OBLONGATA
**Take note the location of PITUITARY GLAND too.
