I'm aiming for 10A+ ( I'm currently in form four ) . I really want to excel . I love to study and learn . I like all of the science subjects . But the problem is I'm from a sekolah luar bandar . We have only 2 Biology teachers . Both of them are new teachers , inexperienced . The one who is teaching me , is half hearted , she has applied for transfer to her hometown and doesn't care much about us students . We weren't briefed about the answering techniques . Her teaching method is like this : Open up the textbook and read from it aloud . Just like that .
Therefore I'm searching high and low for materials and resources . I'm afraid that although I've mastered the contents , the lack of knowledge in answering paper 2 and paper 3 will cost me an A+ in Biology . The only way I'm learning these techniques are by reading trial paper answer schemes .
I really need help , I sincerely would appreciate it if I can ask questions via email and teacher can answer it . Firstly , I am clueless as to which is better , a reference book or the textbook . I'm using the SUCCESS reference book as my only reference with the textbook to supplement my revisions . But I'm worried if the answer scheme in SPM accepts different explanations . SUCCESS defines the function of Golgi Apparatus a bit differently from the textbook .
Secondly , how do I answer essay questions ? Point form , essay ? I've heard somewhere that answering using tables is no longer applicable . How do examiners mark essays ? How long should I write ? How do I plan how to write using the allocated marks ?
And thirdly , the most important aspect : Paper 3 . How do I answer observation , inference and the hardest one , Operational Definition ? I've looked at examples but it's still a bit vague . Should I include the MV , RV or CV ?
Which experiments to memorise for the planning of experiments ? Throughout the entire year up to now , we've only conducted one experiment , the Visking Tube one . That's it . Should I refer to the practical book for experiments , or reference book ? Is it possible to purchase a list of paper 3 experiments from teacher ?

Thank you . I've browsed thru the labels , especially the paper 2 and paper 3 ones . Very informative . But still , I couldn't find an official list of experiments from form 4-5 . It's interesting that teacher has paper 3 experiment diagrams ( in Malay ) . Is that a list that only Excellent Teachers have ?
