1 (a) (i) YES – This menu consists of all seven classes of food at a reasonable quantity  // this menu consists of carbohydrate,  lipid, protein, vitamins, mineral salts and water in a proportionate quantity and ratio.  

                                    OR

NO–  because lipid content is high // less vitamins , less fibres. 

(ii)        Bread, jem and banana -
The carbohydrate digestion will produced monosaccharides / glucose √
 Glucose  is absorbed into blood capillaries at villus and will be carried to liver. √
 In cells of the body tissue, glucose is oxidized to release energy / cell respiration / / Excess glucose stored as glycogen in liver and muscles. √

          Eggs and milk-
protein digested to produce amino acid. √
 Amino acids absorbed in the blood capillaries in villus and carry to liver. √
 In liver cells / body cells, amino acids used to synthesise plasma protein / enzyme /hormones/antibody. √
 Excess amino acid will undergo deamination to produce urea / uric acid which is excreted via urine. √

        Fried Eggs –
 Oil / Fat  is digested to produce fatty acids and glycerol. √
 Fatty acid and glycerol is absorbed in lacteal and transported to lymphatic system.  
 Fatty acids and glycerol form body fat and oxidized to produce energy. // fat used as a component of plasma membrane // excess fat is stored in adipose tissue. √
 Mineral salts, vitamins and fibres are not digested. √
 Water soluble and mineral salts absorbed into blood capillaries // fat soluble absorbed into lacteal.√
 Vitamins / mineral salts used a cofactor / to help in cell metabolisme / fibres is not assimilated. √
